June 2024 saw the release of Roaring Picture’s first completed production; a 120-minute vertical web series entitled Divorced to be the Top Heiress. Utilizing a wholly Australian cast and crew, the entire production was financed by Lin obtaining private Asian investors, and it was co-produced by Pauline and Lin. The series received a worldwide launch on American web platform ShortMax and new subscribers to the series continue to remain high across the globe.

Cancer screening data shows that fewer people from Asian communities take part in screening compared to other Australians and it is a big issue that government and health officials are focusing on.Mai obtained funding from The Social Policy Group. and The Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care to create a live event as well as three short films to raise awareness of preventative cancer screening within Asian communities of NSW. Lin, Pauline and Mai co-produced the films with Mai also Writing and Directing the project.

DIVORCED QUEEN RETURNS TO THE STAGE
April 2025 saw the release of Roaring Picture’s third completed production; a 120-minute vertical web series entitled Divorced Queen Returns to the Stage. Once again employing a wholly Australian cast and crew, the entire production was financed by Lin obtaining private Asian investors, and it was co-produced by Mai and Lin. The series received a worldwide launch on American web platform BestShort and it is currently still trending internationally.
ALPHA KING, YOUR PREGNANT LUNA ESCAPED (WORKING TITLE)
ALPHA KING, YOUR PREGNANT LUNA ESCAPED is a vertical webseries funded by Asian investors and filmed in Sydney employing a wholly Australian cast and crew. The entire production was financed by Lin obtaining private Asian investors, and it was co-produced by Lin, Mai and Jerry Zhou. The project launched online in April 2025.

The project is currently in the casting and financing stage and is intended for production in NSW and Victoria.

Mango Tree
Mango Tree is a road movie about two teenage girls’ coming-of-age stories created by Producer Angelina Jolie and Director/Writer Pauline Chan. Currently it is in the final stage of script development and financing.
The film is intended for production in early 2025.

The Last Ride
The Last Ride is a horror/thriller movie based on the well-known Asian horror novel The Last Bus No. 1. The film will be adapted by an Australian writer and director to feature Australian characters and culture. It will be set in an iconic NSW regional town.The story tells the journey of a group of commuters on the last bus on a very dark night. An incident occurs which causes the driver and the passengers to be challenged physically and psychologically. Each person is confronted by their own inner demons while inexplicable events continue to happen around them which eventually leads to the discovery of a tragic truth that happened on that same bus in the past. In the realm of Hollywood classic The 6th Sense (1999) starring Bruce Willis, and this year’s Australian film Talk To Me (2023) starring Sophie Wilde - The Last Ride will be an Australian supernatural story with social and moral themes.

The Town
Australian classic film Wake in Fright (1971) meets Oscar winning Get Out (2017) to make The Town which will be a thriller/horror feature film where an Asian International student of the University of Melbourne visits a small Victorian country town during his first semester break. A fire breaks out and destroys his lodging on his first night there. A bartender he befriended at the pub earlier invites him to stay with him and his family in a historical farmhouse that holds many secrets. The film will explore mysterious Australian legends and myths through the eyes of an outsider.

Hotel Brighton
Hotel Brighton is a thriller/horror feature film. Built at the later years of the Second World War, Brighton Camp in Port Arthur has Australian history significance. It was used to house prisoners of war, and then housed waves of war refugees from Europe. The story is about a small group of modern-day tourists visiting Tasmania on holidays. The group includes visitors from interstate Australia as well as from the US, China, India, and a couple who are young and arrogant social media influencers. Their background is diverse and life values vastly different, representing contrasting social and national perspectives. Together they join a tourist attraction “Ghost Tour” for fun, to visit the abandoned Brighton Camp one night. As they enter the prison gate, joking about the past victims of this place, they are not aware that they are stepping into the gate of hell, and some of them never make it out.

Modern Love will be ten 45 minute long episode TV series with each episode containing an independent romantic story. Set in contemporary Australia it will feature the unique cultures and lifestyles of various ethnic, sexual and gender-diverse communities living in Australia’s modern multi-cultural society.

The Wave Riders
The Wave Riders is set to be a historical/romantic drama about Australia shot in the cinematic style of acclaimed French film The House of the Spirits. The film will follow multiple generations of one Australian family over several decades as they live through a nation emerging from it's British colonial past, suffering through the Second World War and subsequently then dealing with the social changes that result from mass immigration after the War.
